Employment While at Birth Haven
Birth Haven believes that women should use their time as a resident to increase their success at being self-sufficient and independent upon leaving. If a resident already has completed formal education and does not wish to pursue any further education goals to training, a women is encouraged to increase her job experience by finding a job.
Birth Haven is located in downtown Newton and is close to many new and existing businesses. Additionally, Birth Haven is situated on the main Sussex County Transit http://www.sussex.nj.us/ bus route enabling residents to maintain jobs in many other parts of the Sussex County. As with all money a woman receives while at Birth Haven, 60% of her wages must be put into savings for her, 15% is her contribution to her stay at Birth Haven and 25% is her spending money.
If a women is unable to work for medical reasons, then she must commit to volunteering. |
