About Birth
Haven's Founders
Birth Haven was founded in 1985 by a group of good people who perceived a need for this type of facility and who dreamed of providing care and support for young women facing unplanned pregnancies. Three of those original organizers, Betsy Sutherland, Maureen Curtis, and Bill McGovern serve on the agency's Board of Directors. Tom Sutherland, also a founding member, serves on Birth Haven's Advisory Board.
