Medical Services for Residents of Birth Haven
Birth Haven does not provide medical services, but does work very closely the medical service providers within Sussex County or the region to connect our residents with quality medical care throughout their pregnancy and postpartum.
Residents are assisted in their application for pregnancy Medicaid if they have no other health care insurance. Choice of medical service provider depends upon status of pregnancy, prior pre-natal treatment, health care insurance, choice of HMO and personal choice.
Birth Haven is within one mile of Newton Memorial Hospital offering quality emergency services, a women’s clinic and labor and delivery unit. High risk pregnancies are usually followed by the women’s clinic at Morristown Memorial Hospital.
Residents at Birth Haven are expected to make available to their pre-natal service provider a current and comprehensive medical history.
Birth Haven does not pay for any medical services for residents or their infants. |
