Services
All those who come to Birth Haven are in crisis and in need of appropriate housing and support services if they wish to carry the pregnancy to term. Many participants enter the program with intentions of raising their baby, while others seek adoption as an alternative. Regardless of their decision, Birth Haven supports each resident according to her own life circumstances, goals, and visions of her future.

What makes us unique is Birth Haven offers an array of services, addressing the specific needs of each resident. In addition to providing immediate needs, such as shelter and food, Birth Haven also helps connect residents with medical and mental health care, individual/group therapy, case management, career development, education, and important life skills workshops. Through intensive collaboration with local community partners and volunteers, the program prepares each resident for a better life after Birth Haven.

Birth Haven assists each young woman with making the choices that are best for themselves and their baby. Where personal support systems are lacking, Birth Haven helps in filling that need, such as assisting the resident in obtaining a "doula", which is a trained and experienced professional who provides continuous physical, emotional and informational support to the mother before, during and after birth. If adoption is to be pursed, our organization will help the resident locate and work with an appropriate agency.
